MELINDA SOLOMAN - "ALONG THE RIVERBANK"

At Rosalie Promotions, we believe in recognising and celebrating our talented artists.

The talented Melinda Solomon is a local Aboriginal visual artist from the Eastern Kuku Yalanji mob and the Girramay nations in Far North Queensland. She's a creative soul with a passion for painting, crafting, and jewellery making. She creates Authentic Aboriginal art and utilises both canvas and natural features for her art.

Melinda's art is a true reflection of her roots and her connection to the land. Her featured artwork with Rosalie Promotions, "Along The Riverbank," tells a story of culture and nature. In this piece, she beautifully captures the essence of the Murray River (Dhungala), where a long-neck turtle gracefully swims. The colourful art touches on the motion of the flowing river and the riverbank, which is speckled with Kangaroo tracks and gum leaves.

If you would like to follow along Melinda's artistic journey you can find her at Baljil Art on Facebook.

Along The Riverbank Artwork

“Along The Riverbank” is a more literal depiction of a scene. It paints the picture of a long-neck turtle swimming in the Murray River (Dungala). The colourful art touches on the motion of the flowing river and the riverbank, which is speckled with Kangaroo tracks and gum leaves.
